Level 1 Training

REIKI (pronounced as RayKey) originated in Japan. This style of Reiki was developed by Dr. Mikau Usui in the early 1920’s. Reiki Level I, known as Shoden, is the first step in Reiki energy. The premise behind Reiki is to heal oneself and then heal others. Reiki refers to Universal Energy, The positive energy in the universe that is accessible to all. Reiki is used to balance energy within the energy system in our body (I.e., chakra system). It can help with anxiety, depression and other emotional concerns as well as physical ailments. Reiki is an alternative form of healing and is increasingly used in hospitals.

This two day training for Reiki Level I will result in deep self healing and the knowledge of how to provide for others. It is recommended to work with Reiki Level I for six months prior to further developing skills in Reiki Level II. Reiki is a compliment to other alternative healing modalities as it may increase intuitive insights and facilitate further healing.

If you are interested in working with Anita Maloney, a certified and experienced Reiki Master, the following will be part of your training;

Day I:

  • History of Reiki
  • What is Reiki?
  • Daily Reiki Precepts
  • Self Reiki
  • Reiki Attunement Crystal
  • Attunements I and II
  • Homework

Day II:

  • Checking in with effects of the first two attunements
  • Answer Questions about Self Reiki
  • Observe Hand Positions for providing to another person
  • Practice providing Reiki Level I
  • Attunements III and IV
  • Protective Practices
  • Answer Questions

$400.00 for level 1 training

Add a private Reiki Session as part of the training process for $450.00 (This includes the introduction and the training).

Family Yoga Run/Walk

Kids are Free with Parent or Guardian

A series of 6 family friendly, Saturday sessions will promote a healthy, active lifestyle while enjoying beautiful outdoor settings right here in Santee. Designed for all fitness levels, each 75 minute session includes an introduction and warm up, a 40 minute run/walk done at your own pace, 20 minutes of yoga and stretching, and final cool down.

Locations and Dates:

  • 6/22 Sat. 4-5:15pm: Santee Lakes.
  • 7/6 Sat. 4-5:15pm: Mission Trails, Grasslands Loop.
  • 7/20 Sat. 4-5:15pm: Mission Trails, Father Junipero Serra.
  • 8/3 Sat. 4-5:15pm Walkers Preserve.
  • 8/17 Sat. 4-5:15pm Lake Jennings.
  • 8/31 Sat. 4-5:15pm Cowels Mountain.

Four (4) person minimum class size.
